Catamaran Taster Day
A chance to experience the exciting class of Catamarans. Run by a group of club members who are active catamaran sailors, we run two sessions, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.
Each session consists of a quick run down of safety procedures for capsize, trapezing, and basic sailing techniques where they differ from monohulls on land and then straight out onto the water for a blast round the lake, usually starting with crewing and then if experience and conditions allow, time on the helm.
This is the third year we've run this event and has alway been popular, with some previous attendees going on to buy their own catamarans.
The event is open to all members of any amount sailing experience including none.
