Membership renewal guide

The Bala Sailing Club membership renewal process is underway. From 2026 onwards it's a bit different as we have moved the club to a new software platform that brings membership, events, duties, and website under one roof. We have been beavering hard in the basement over the winter to hopefully ensure the membership process is as painless as possible. 

You will receive an email notification when your membership is ready for you to review and pay for. We are sending these out in stages to allow us to deal with queries quickly, so don't be surprised if you receive your renewal notification before or after other members. 

A further email will be sent out to everyone once we have completed the renewal notifications for all members. This is so we can make sure that nobody has been missed.

Attached is a guide with images of the important stages in the renewal process. 

Most important is that if you have any problems, just drop us a message using the Membership topic in the "Contact" menu of the website and one of us will get back to you as quickly as possible. 

If you haven't yet logged in to check all your details are correct then now is the time to do so.  We have imported as much information as possible from Webcollect but there may be odd things that fell through the cracks. Important stuff like Names, Addresses, Phone numbers, and Dates Of Birth are essential for Junior, Family and State Pension Age memberships as the system will not allow renewal if the information is inconsistent with your membership type. 

You can also check that we have correctly included any boats you will be berthing at the club as well. 

Although this is a new system to us, Sailing Club Manager is used by over 100 sailing clubs and we have already run a fair few test users through the process without experiencing any big problems.
