2026 Kayak and Paddleboard events

Hi There

In 2026 we will be looking to engage more with our paddling community, and encourage more of it on this wonderful lake. We had the Oxford rowers on the lake recently, and they really appreciated the beauty and size of this unique space.  The general feeling is, we as paddlers could be making a lot more of what we have here. 

The aim for 2026 will be to encourage more use, both for solo and groups, of our Kayak and Paddleboard members. We'll keep on eye how things are received, and gauge the appetite for more of the same.  We are hoping to grow this year by year, and we will always encourage and help with sideways moves from Paddle to sail, and vice versa. 

We are gong to kick things off gently this year with the below 3 events. The first two can only be registered for by members, but you are welcome to bring along Friends and Family.  These really are casual events, designed to test the water (no pun, sorry), and hopefully show us the way forward. 

Sat June 13th 10am - Kayak and Paddleboard Distance event. Members and friends

The safety boat will be out for all of them, with the club house open for changing etc. If the weather turns against us, we may reduce distances, but we'll make every effort to get out on the water.
